Will Pokemon Go Be Banned In Milwaukee Parks?

According to an article in the July/August 2017 issue of Wisconsin Lawyer, Milwaukee County enacted an ordinance requiring companies that produce virtual reality games such as Pokemon Go to obtain a permit before using Milwaukee County's parks in the games.  One such company has sued Milwaukee County in federal court. Candy Lab, Inc. filed the complaint in April.  On July 20, 2017, a federal judge granted an injunction preventing Milwaukee County from enforcing the ordinance until the case is decided.
